The "Malmøcity" collection is designed by Patch Hofweber
We're incredibly happy to be launching our FIRST (of many) guest collections for Malmö Clothing Co. This month is designed by Patch Hofweber, a designer and cycling enthusiast originally from California, but living and working in Sweden since 2006.
Patch's collection is printed in limited quantities and designed exclusively for Malmö Clothing Co.
We asked Patch a few questions about himself and life in Malmö:
Tell us a bit about origins
I was born and raised in Humboldt County, California — between the redwoods and the Pacific. I came here as an 18 year old and have made Skåne my home.
What do you do for work?
I’m a graphic designer with a penchant for typography. These days I mostly design and build websites for public transit.
What do you do for fun?
Cycling is my passion, it checks all the boxes. Exercise, exploration, socialization, alone-time, and transport — all under one umbrella. That and spending time with my 17-month-old daughter.
What do you like about Malmö?
It’s a simple city to get around in, everything is relatively close. After living in Stockholm I can appreciate how every area is interconnected.
What’s one thing you would change about Malmö?
Some mountains just outside of town would be great. If you can’t make that happen I’d settle for an authentic taco truck.
Best coffee in town?
Best falafel in town?
Sara on Bergsgatan — The fresh baked bread does it for me
Best bar for a beer?
What should every tourist know about Malmö when they visit?
